Cabling Estimator

The cabling estimator is responsible for assessing project requirements, analyzing specifications, and providing accurate cost estimates for structured cabling projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review drawing, specifications, and all other construction documents to understand project requirements. Perform site visits to gather relevant information about existing infrastructure, requirements, and potential challenges. Log project information in CRM. Respond to bid specifications, write detailed and concise scope of work, develop cost estimates, predict duration of the project. Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor hours, material costs, and equipment expenses, and any other related expenses. Create and submit proposals, including cost breakdowns, technical specs, and supporting documentation. Participate in scope review/leveling meetings with clients. Participate in project meetings with clients and estimating team. Interact with vendors to secure best pricing. Participate in handoff meetings with the operations team to explain job scope, potential areas of attention, and other aspects to ensure a successful transition of the project. Price change orders in coordination with operations department. Stay informed about current trends and technological advancements in our industry. Qualifications 3+ years of overall structured cabling commercial integration industry estimating projects. Experience and knowledge of cabling/ low voltage industry experience. Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and various estimating software. Highly organized and self-managed with the ability to keep consistent workflow moving through estimating department. Ability to build rapports with teammates, clients, Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must pass a background check.
