Clinical Pharmacist SpecialistClinical Pharmacist Specialist – Pharmacy Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Plano 6200 West Parker Road TX 75093 Work hours: Full Time 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm, rotating weekends and holidays Pharmacy department highlights: Clinically integrated pharmacy practice model with active involvement supporting high-acuity service lines such as ICU, stroke, oncology, and neonatal patient populations. Collaborative and approachable pharmacy culture that values open communication, peer support, and strong working relationships with providers and nursing. Emphasis on clinical accountability and autonomy, with pharmacists empowered to make evidence-based interventions and drive medication safety initiatives. Fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring flexibility and adaptability. Advanced clinical environment within a Level II Trauma Center, Level IV NICU and maternal program, and Comprehensive Stroke Center, providing exposure to complex, high-risk patient populations.Here's What You Need Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy is required Or Other Pharm.D Degree from U.S. - accredited College of Pharmacy is required 1 Year residency experience [PGY1] upon hire is required and 3 Years focused hospital pharmacist experience is required or 2 Years residency experience including one in a specialized area [PGY2] upon hire is required or 5 Years focused hospital pharmacist experience is required and Demonstrated leadership experience, training and development and contributions to the profession is required PHAR - Pharmacist Upon Hire is required And Other Board Certified if hired after July 17, 2022 12 Months is required Must have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively present information to hospital leaders, physicians, peers, support staff, and other healthcare professionals in all settings (directly with individuals, small groups, and large groups) Must be able to evaluate clinical trials, advise on the pharmaceutical care of patients and serve as a clinical resource for the pharmacy department Must be computer proficient and have excellent writing skills What You Will Do Guide the collective effort towards constant improvement and goal achievement Drive continued professional development and department wide education Support this positions team of clinical pharmacists in the delivery of patient care Work independently as well as participate and lead group efforts to improve pharmaceutical care Publishing (posters at regional professional meetings to publishing in national peer-reviewed journals) Additional perks of being a Texas Health Clinical Pharmacist Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment programs as well as several other benefits.
