Mechanical Assembler

Quality Improvement ManagerDevelop and lead initiatives to improve internal and external quality for supported product lines and achieve related targets of less than 2500 PPM and greater than 92% first pass yield. Lead and promote kaizen activities to help achieve quality, delivery, cost, and productivity goals. Develop assembly documentation, workmanship specifications, and in-cell production controls to prevent and reduce defects. Support training initiatives within the quality team and assigned product areas. Promote lean manufacturing principles via the use of standard work, poke-yoke, FMEA, visual management, and variation reduction.Essential duties and responsibilities include:Develop, lead, and implement quality improvement action plans, procedures, and processes necessary to achieve and maintain targeted quality performance goalsMaintain a high level of technical knowledge in the areas of quality and lean manufacturing to maximize productivity, quality, and cost efficiencyInitiate and monitor corrective and preventative actionsEnforce quality standardsSupport direct labor training and certificationVerify accuracy of training plansProvide project leadership for major quality initiativesLead and drive efforts to transition temporary corrective actions to permanent corrective and preventative actionsUse analytical techniques and tools to study production data, identify trends, and define innovative solutions to challenging problemsSupport part and process qualification initiatives for supported product linesEducation and experience requirements include:Engineering degree or a minimum of 10 years commensurate experience in an engineering related discipline requiredExperience with ISO9001 quality system is required, AS9100 is preferredPrevious motors experience is preferredPrevious quality experience is preferredProven experience with leading teams in a lean production environmentExperience directing and interacting with production personnelThorough understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipmentKnowledge of material procurement functions such as purchasing, inventory, shipping & receivingStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of customers, employees, and suppliers ranging from assembly technicians to managementExperience with Microsoft Office tools is requiredExperience with CAD, FEA, and database systems is preferredExperience with Oracle is preferredPhysical demands include:Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and armsTalk or hearStand, walk, and sitClimb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawlLift and/or move up to 25 poundsClose, distance, color, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusRestrictions imposed by federal export control laws may limit this job opportunity to candidates who are a 'U.S. Person', which includes U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents, individuals granted asylum in the United States, and refugees in the United States.Benefits include:Medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverageSpending accounts (HSA, health care FSA and dependent care FSA)Paid time off and holidays401k retirement plan with matching employer contributionsLife and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurancePaid leavesTuition assistanceAbout Regal Rexnord:Regal Rexnord is a publicly held global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit, and control motion.
