Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled PACU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional post-operative care for adult patients. This role involves collaborating with surgical teams and ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and vital signs post-surgery to monitor recovery progress.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, following all protocols and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, anesthesia providers, and surgical teams regarding patient status.
• Document patient care, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations, providing high-quality nursing care.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety guidelines, and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina RN license or a multi-state/compact license in hand at start.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent PACU or acute care nursing experience.
• Be BLS and ACLS certified before starting assignment.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Show proficiency in communicating with multidisciplinary teams.
• Be available to work night shifts (3x12 hours).
