About the Role
The Company is seeking a President & Chief Executive Officer to lead its national association, which is dedicated to representing and supporting HVAC contractors. This pivotal role comes at a time of significant change in the industry, with a focus on electrification, refrigerant transitions, workforce shortages, and evolving regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the Board of Directors to develop and execute the organization's strategic vision, driving membership growth, and serving as a credible advocate on legislative, regulatory, and industry issues. Additionally, the role involves strengthening relationships with various industry partners, improving organizational structure and processes, and maintaining strong financial oversight. Applicants for the President & CEO position at the company should have a background in senior executive leadership, with a preference for those who have experience leading a membership association, trade organization, or mission-driven nonprofit. Strong business acumen, particularly in strategy, operations, and financial management, is essential. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building relationships with diverse stakeholders and driving membership or business growth. Experience in advocacy, government relations, or regulatory matters is also preferred, as is an understanding of contractors, the trades, or small business ownership. A Bachelor's degree and over 10 years of relevant leadership experience are the minimum educational and experience requirements, with equivalent experience being considered.
