What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and/or local first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and sensitive areas, verify credentials when appropriate, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Support a professional presence at the location by following post orders, handling routine security-related inquiries, and assisting with de-escalation during tense or high-traffic situations.

Minimum Requirements

• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma/GED.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
