With multiple locations across Upstate New York, we provide construction equipment, outdoor power equipment, compact machinery, and related services to contractors and homeowners. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in the Watertown, NY area. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Position Overview

In this key role, you will manage vendor invoices and maintain accurate financial records in a busy equipment rental environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify vendor invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports for accuracy and proper coding
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Maintain organized accounts payable documentation
• Support monthend closing processes and financial reporting
• Handle vendor inquiries and build strong working relationships
• Provide additional support to the accounting team as needed
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience (construction, equipment rental, or heavy equipment industry experience is a strong plus)
• Proficient with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar) and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and accuracy
• Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
