EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, PSYCHIATRIC SERVICE LINE - PSYCH

• POSITION SUMMARY
  • The Executive Director of Psychiatry will oversee the service line that provides a range of inpatient and outpatient mental health services to the local community. This position will interface with other areas of the hospital to ensure appropriate services for mental health patients. This position will also interface with the local mental health center and the State Department of Mental Health to ensure open communication and foster collaboration during the fulfillment of existing contracts. This position will interface with outside agencies to ensure that the mental health needs in the local and surrounding communities are being met.
• POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum Education
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services field
  • Minimum Experience
    • 5 years progressive leadership in a healthcare setting
  • Required Registration/License/Certification
    • BLS within 90 days of DOH/Transfer CPI within 90 days of DOH/Transfer
  • Preferred Education
    • Master’s Degree in a related field MSW RN
  • Preferred Experience
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organizational skills, critical thinking skills knowledge of basic medical terminology computer skills ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Preferred Registration/License/Certification
    • MSW RN LPC
