Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 20 weeks Shift: 12H Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years required, prior travel experience is necessary License: Active compact License required upon start Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Charge experience preferred, Cerner preferred Description: This position entails caring for patients in an Intermediate Care setting. The patient population includes a mix of med-surg, tele, cardiac IMCU acuity level patients, neuro patients, and CVA patients. The registered nurse will work 12-hour night shifts. Travelers must work at least one major holiday, either Christmas Day or New Year's Day. Charge responsibilities may be required, and the registered nurse will receive the appropriate pay differential and training. Block scheduling is no longer accommodated; however, weekend-only requests may be considered. All requested time off must be submitted during the application process. The unit tries to follow a schedule of working 2 out of 3 weekends a month, but this may vary based on unit needs. The registered nurse will encounter students and new hires regularly, contributing to a culture of support. The client can cancel assignments with short notice based on patient census.
