Warehouse Receiver

We are PFD Supply, a division of Prairie Farms Dairy, and are currently taking applications for full-time warehouse receiver.

The Warehouse Receiver is responsible for receiving and processing incoming shipments, verifying product quantities and quality, organizing inventory, and ensuring that all materials are accurately logged and stored. This position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving Shipments:
• Unload incoming shipments from trucks and inspect contents for accuracy and damage.
• Verify product quantities and specifications against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Sign and acknowledge receipt of goods.
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels and storage locations.
• Ensure proper labeling and organization of inventory in the warehouse.
• Stocking & Organization:
• Store items in appropriate locations according to warehouse layout and inventory control procedures.
• Ensure aisles and storage areas are clear and organized.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Complete required paperwork, including receiving reports, inspection forms, and inventory logs.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and filed correctly.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move 50-75 lbs. repeatedly.
• Must have forklift experience. Stand up forklift a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of safety practices in a warehouse environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy items for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training may be provided).

Work Environment:

• Warehouse environment, subject to varying temperatures; cooler and freezer area.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
