Role Description This full-time Outside Sales Representative role is a hybrid position based in St Charles, MO, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves managing and growing a sales territory by visiting electrical distributors, contractors, industrial accounts, and OEM customers to present product solutions and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting sales presentations, identifying new business opportunities, following up on leads, and maintaining regular contact with existing accounts. The representative will prepare quotes, coordinate with internal teams and manufacturers, and ensure orders and customer requests are handled promptly. The role also includes tracking sales activities, reporting on market trends, and participating in training or product meetings to stay current on industry developments. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Sales Presentations and New Business Development skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and close deals. Candidates should possess Relationship Building and Customer Service skills to maintain and grow long-term accounts. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication with customers and internal stakeholders. Relevant experience in outside sales, preferably within the electrical or industrial products sector, is highly beneficial. Ability to manage a territory, work independently in a hybrid environment, and travel locally within Eastern Missouri and Southern Illinois as needed. Basic technical understanding of electrical products and willingness to learn manufacturer offerings and specifications. Proficiency with CRM tools, email, and standard office software for tracking activities and preparing reports.
