Job Summary:
Cath Lab Registered Nurse in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. This role involves providing specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures within the cath lab unit. The position includes administering conscious sedation, circulating in a sterile environment, and supporting cardiovascular interventions such as heart catheterizations, PCIs, pacemakers, and other advanced procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 10 hours shift hours, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in a State of South Dakota or multistate licensure privileges; Minimum of 2 years cath lab experience; Graduation from a National League for Nursing (NLN) or American Academy of Collegiate Schools of Nursing (AACN) accredited nursing program is strongly preferred; Bachelors Degree in nursing preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cath lab procedures including cardiac catheterizations, PCIs, pacemakers, ICDs, EP procedures, and other cardiac interventions; Familiarity with clinical equipment such as XIM (Philips monitoring system), Epic, Xcelera, ultrasounds, Angiojets, EKOS machines, and Acist contrast injection system.
• Additional Information: Orientation typically lasts 4-6 shifts, focusing on charting and physician equipment preferences. The unit has 8 fluoroscopy rooms, 2 procedural rooms, and averages 30 patients daily. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:1. Care setting is acute, with a trauma level of 1. Nurses will need to be prepared for on-call responsibilities, including filling vacant call rotations and weekend coverage with a 30-minute response time.
