Wattpad follows a hybrid work model, with employees working from our vibrant downtown Toronto office 3x per week.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and roadmap for Wattpad's data platform and product intelligence capabilities.

This isn't a traditional analytics or reporting role. You'll build the platform that enables our products to make smarter decisions.

You'll partner with Data Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, and Product Managers to transform raw product events into reusable data products, trusted metrics, decision-ready insights, and an intelligent platform service that powers experiences across Wattpad.

Your work will shape how products understand readers, measure success, personalize experiences, run experiments, and make real-time decisions.

This is one of the foundational platform investments that will power the next generation of Wattpad.

What You'll Do:

• Define the vision and roadmap for Wattpad's data platform
• Own the long-term strategy for the systems that transform raw product events into reusable, trusted capabilities that power products across Wattpad
• Develop and prioritize the roadmap across areas including:
• Reusable data products
• Insights Layer
• Decisioning platform
• Data governance and discoverability
• Define the strategy and roadmap for Wattpad's Product Intelligence Platform, enabling products to make smarter, faster, and more consistent decisions
• Build the platform capabilities that transform raw data into trusted, reusable intelligence for teams across the company
• Work with our Content teams to deepen our content intelligence, transforming story metadata, taxonomy, and behavioural signals into reusable capabilities that power products across Wattpad
• Partner with Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science to create scalable foundations for personalization, recommendations, and product decisioning
• Establish trusted metrics, shared data definitions, and governance practices that improve consistency and confidence across product development
• Turn recurring product needs into reusable platform capabilities that reduce duplication and accelerate delivery across teams
• Balance long-term platform investments with near-term business priorities, making thoughtful tradeoffs that maximize impact
• Influence product and technical strategy across the organization, helping shape the future of Wattpad's data and intelligence capabilities

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Product Management experience, with experience owning platform, infrastructure, developer, AI, or data products
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures including event pipelines, data products, warehouses, semantic layers, metrics stores, feature stores, and APIs
• Experience working closely with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Software Engineering teams
• Experience defining product strategy across multiple stakeholders with competing priorities
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to identify reusable platform capabilities instead of one-off solutions
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical and executive audiences
• Comfortable making decisions in ambiguous environments while balancing long term platform investments with near term business value
• Experience with modern product analytics and experimentation platforms such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar tools for product measurement, behavioural analytics, and experimentation

$125,000 - $160,000 a year
