The Specialized Warfighter Development Contract’s (SWDC) Threat Products Services (TPS)/Threat Modeling Center (TMC) is looking for you to join our Infrared Radiation Hard Body (IRHB) Signatures Production team as a Systems Engineer. Responsibilities Gain experience withthreatmodelphenomenologywith focus onIR signatures Gain experience withIRsignaturepredictions andsimulation models Work with the team to ensure completion ofdata productionneeds in support ofMDA Ground TestModeling and Simulation Work in close coordination withTMC'sSoftwareEngineersfor support to ensure timely provision oftoolsneeded inITPproduction Work in close collaboration with internal andexternal stakeholdersin thedevelopmentofIRHB modelsfor newsystemsand often updates to existingmissile systems Gain experience in understanding stakeholders'requirementsand work with the team to ensure vigilantVerification and Validation(V&V) process ofdeliverables Work with the team to ensureautomationandtoolsimprovement are rightfully coordinated – aiming to attain utmost efficiency and meet Leadership objectives Work on definedscheduleto timely supportMDA Ground TestModeling and Simulationevents Qualifications U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law Active Secret Clearance required Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM-related field Level 2: 2+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree (Or Master’s degree and 0 years of experience) Level 3: 5+ years of relevant experience (Or Master's degree and 3+ years experience; Or a PhD and 1+ year) Experience with modeling and simulation (M&S) and technical data analysis Familiarity with missile flight characteristics, motion, and performance Knowledge of infrared (IR) signature physics, including hard body heating effects Experience with Verification and Validation (V&V) of simulation data Experience with scripting/automation tools (Python, Bash, MATLAB) Understanding of modeling and simulation methodologies and processes Preferred Qualifications Strong math, physics and/orengineeringbackgroundis preferred Previous experience with analyzingflightcharacteristics, motion, atmosphericdynamics, andmissileperformanceparameters ofballisticmissilesis highly desirable Strongbackgroundinmissilesystem engineeringperformance Masteryofengineeringmodelingprinciples behind body motion, trajectoryanalysis, counter measures,debris, and signaturemodelingis a plus Backgroundin IR Signaturesmodeling Familiarity withOpticalSignaturesCode(OSC) Experience inAgilesoftware developmentmethodologiesincludingScrumandKanban Full‑Time position with an Employee-Owned company offering a comprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance; Short‑Term and Long‑term Disability; Life Insurance; FSA; Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP); 401(k) Plan with company match; Tuition and Training Reimbursement; and Incentive Compensation.
