About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Oncology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year in oncology nursing License: Active state nursing license required Certifications: BLS required, ONS chemotherapy/immunotherapy certification preferred Must-Have: Epic experience Description: The Inpatient Oncology unit is a 28-bed adult acute care hematology and oncology unit. It also includes a 15-bed intermediate care Stem Cell Transplant Unit. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4. This position requires working nights. Each nurse can be offered 36 or 48 hours per week. There is a requirement to work every other weekend and every other holiday. ONS certification is required; candidates may submit with pending certification provided it can be completed before the start date. ACLS certification is preferred. Candidates must adhere to the float policy within the facility. Experience using Epic charting system is mandatory. The unit is recognized for its high-quality care and features large private rooms. New nurses will receive training and gain extensive knowledge in oncology care. An interdisciplinary team collaborates daily to provide evidence-based, quality-driven care. The unit supports various services including physical therapy and pharmacy. Candidates may be required to float within their scope of practice. References are required. Certification copies must be submitted for any required credentials. Nursing verification is necessary before submission. No local candidates will be accepted for designated units. The facility has specific policies regarding previous employment and returning staff.
