Civil Graduate Engineer III

Position Summary A Graduate Engineer III will work under a licensed Civil Engineer, supporting design tasks and learning industry standards and local agency codes. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD Civil3D, ability to deliver design drawings, prepare entitlement documents, and collaborate with agency staff and internal teams. Responsibilities Produce design drawings and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil3D. Coordinate with agency staff and internal support teams on designs, analysis, and issues. Prepare entitlement documents for tentative maps, vacations, zone changes, entitlements, and related items. Calculate quantities in Microsoft Excel and write justification letters in Microsoft Word. Assist with construction drawings in Civil3D, including grading plans, profiles, construction details, storm drain, water and sewer facilities, signage, and striping plans. Required Skills Outgoing, friendly, approachable team player. Strong communication skills and active listening. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Project, and AutoCAD Civil3D. Competent technical skills needed to complete engineering tasks. Proactive in pursuing design solutions and open to others’ ideas. Detail‑oriented while maintaining a big‑picture perspective. Works independently and collaboratively within a team. Required Experience 2–4 years of experience in commercial or single‑family residential development. Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering. Engineer‑in‑Training certification or ability to obtain one within 6–12 months. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Civil3D.
