Senior Software EngineerFitch Group is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack based out of our NYC office. Fitch Group Technology has a number of agile teams that deliver world-class innovative solutions to Fitch Group internal and external customers. This position will be within one of our agile teams delivering software products for our BMI business. You will work in a hybrid (in-office / Work from Home) arrangement, in a collaborative and supportive work environment where your ideas and contributions are valued with a focus on achievable improvements that get used every day.We'll Count on You To:Design, develop and deploy cloud native container based financial applicationsDeveloping new GenAI backend in PythonDesign, develop GenAI application Python and AWS Bedrock serviceDefine and document best practices and strategies regarding application deployment and infrastructure maintenanceOptimize components to work seamlessly across different browsers and devicesWhat You Need To Have:7+ years of experience designing and developing distributed application architecture of moderate-to-high complexity.5+ years in python, vector database, FASTAPI, Pytest, DockerIn-depth knowledge and experience of Langchain, Langgraph, Agent development, MCPExperience with GenAI/RAG, Agentic RAGExperience with relational databases, particularly PostgresSqlExperience with AWS Lambda, AWS Bedrock service, embedding models, Re-ranker, DoclinqExperience in working with scrum, keeping track of your sprint item in JIRA and completing everything on time.Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and JestAbility to troubleshoot distributed systems.Ability to lead offshore teamExperience working with multicultural global technology teams in the financial industryExceptionally self-motivated, self-directed, and detail-orientedExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with modern data architecture and engineering technologiesExcellent communication skills with ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.Why Fitch? Actual salaries will be determined on an individualized basis and may vary based on factors including but not limited to education, training, experience, past performance, and other job-related factors. Base pay is one part of Fitch's total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, long-term incentives, and other benefits sponsored by Fitch.
