Requirements Pediatrics and geriatrics experience required. Responsibilities Assist in performing assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and workflow recommendations. Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection (e.g., urine, fecal) using straight or butterfly needles. Collect, label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens according to protocols. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes, ensuring 100% accuracy. Store specimen samples at required temperatures and in appropriate containers. Explain procedures clearly and courteously to patients. Understand and comply with physician orders and OSHA/DEP regulations. Attend annual department trainings. Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries. Qualifications Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state of employment. Minimum 6 months experience performing venipunctures in a fast‑paced lab or hospital setting. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. High School Diploma or GED.
