Job Description

Job Title: OB
Location: York, Pennsylvania
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $329 - $354/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OB for a temporary assignment in York, Pennsylvania. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a OB:
• Provide Maternal Fetal Medicine specialty care in a clinic/outpatient setting
• Work a Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Night call and weekend call preferred but not required
• Manage and care for a patient population of 18+ years (childbearing age)
• See approximately 25 patients per day within a 10-bed department
• Perform and interpret ultrasounds, including Level II targeted ultrasounds and fetal echocardiography
• Provide consultative services and ultrasound interpretation
• Manage high-risk obstetric conditions including pregnancy-induced hypertension and HELLP syndrome
• Manage diabetic conditions including Type I, Type II, and gestational diabetes
• Manage cardiac disorders Class II or higher, pulmonary disorders, renal disorders, neurological disorders, autoimmune disorders, and hematologic/oncologic disorders
• Manage obstetric complications including placenta previa/abruption and multiple gestation
• Perform amniocentesis for genetic indications
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary support team including RNs, Medical Assistants, and Advanced Practice Providers
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation
• Maintain Board Certification (BC or BE) in Maternal Fetal Medicine
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Maintain current BLS certification
• Maintain a minimum of 1 year of MFM experience
