Avila's El Ranchito is a family-owned Mexican restaurant company with a long tradition of providing exceptional hospitality, authentic cuisine, and memorable dining experiences. We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead our Lake Forest location and support our commitment to outstanding guest service, employee development, and operational excellence.

Position Summary

The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining financial performance goals, and developing a positive, high-performing team culture. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a passion for hospitality, team development, and delivering operational excellence.

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
• Create an exceptional guest experience by ensuring outstanding service standards.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop team members and supervisors.
• Monitor staffing levels and create schedules to support business needs.
• Maintain labor, food, beverage, and operating costs within budget.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and health regulations.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing employee coaching.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and effectively.
• Oversee inventory, purchasing, and product quality controls.
• Support restaurant marketing initiatives, local community involvement, and sales growth.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Lead by example and foster a positive, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of restaurant Industry experience.
• Previous restaurant management experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills.
• High-volume casual dining experience preferred.
• Knowledge of labor management, scheduling, inventory control, and cost management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Food Handler and Manager certifications preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
