Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist with newborn experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Critical Access Hospital in eastern Montana, working a 6 on / 8 off schedule.

Details

• Critical Access Hospital setting serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Respiratory Department role covering inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department settings
• Outpatient testing responsibilities include Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), Stress Tests, and EKGs
• Works with all age groups, including newborns
• 12-hour day shifts on a 6 on / 8 off rotating schedule
• 36 hours per week
• Must be able to work independently/solo
• Epic EMR in use at this facility

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential required
• Montana state license required if applicable
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• Newborn experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• DOB and SSN may be required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform respiratory treatments and diagnostic testing across all age groups in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Assist with patient and family education on respiratory diseases and medications
• Contribute to discharge planning for respiratory patients
• Proficiency with a variety of respiratory equipment is essential
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team are expected
