HR Onboarding Assistant

HR Onboarding Assistant Location: Dallas, TX Employment Type: Full-Time, Contract Schedule: Fully Onsite Compensation: Up to $25.00 per hour Position Summary Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Onboarding Assistant to join a growing team in Dallas, Texas. This role will work closely with Human Resources leadership to support onboarding activities, employee record management, data entry, and day-to-day HR administrative functions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with HR systems, enjoys supporting employees through the onboarding process, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Paylocity and strong administrative skills are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation processes Enter and maintain employee data within Paylocity and other HR systems Prepare and process onboarding documentation, employment forms, and personnel records Ensure employee files are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks, employment verifications, and onboarding paperwork Serve as a point of contact for new hires regarding onboarding questions and documentation requirements Assist with employee record updates, status changes, and HR data maintenance Generate reports and assist with audits of employee files and HR records Support Human Resources leadership with administrative and HR-related projects Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information Assist with filing, scanning, document retention, and general office administration Provide support for employee communications and HR initiatives as needed Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1+ years of administrative, data entry, HR support, onboarding, or office experience preferred Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred Experience using Paylocity or a similar HRIS system strongly preferred Experience with employee onboarding, HRIS data management, personnel file maintenance, and employment documentation processing Exposure to payroll support processes is a plus Experience in the construction, HVAC, plumbing, or skilled trades industries is a plus Work Environment Fully onsite position located in Dallas, TX Standard office environment within a growing service-based organization Frequent use of computers, HR systems, and office equipment Collaborative work environment supporting both field and corporate employees #J-18808-Ljbffr Wheeler Staffing Partners
