Collections Operations Manager

Position Summary Manages and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in collecting delinquent payments for auto loan accounts from customers. Responsibilities include forecasting, scheduling, reporting, auditing, and real time management of collection center operations. The role analyses workforce metrics, trends, patterns, and resource allocation to meet organizational needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and train associates to meet departmental goals while ensuring compliance with company policies and providing constructive feedback. Oversee collector activities, including auto dialer and list strategies, to optimize collection efforts and ensure efficient workflow through effective procedures and scheduling. Review accounts for potential repossession or legal action, assist with challenging collection cases, and address escalated customer and operational issues with solutions oriented strategies. Analyze performance data to manage business results, improve associate productivity, and make strategic decisions based on analytical insights. Maintain a high level of professionalism, treating all contacts courteously, and demonstrate proficiency in verbal, written, and presentation skills, with Microsoft Office competency. Demonstrate strong problem solving abilities, attention to detail, and strategic thinking, including experience in project management and process improvement. Exhibit flexibility to meet changing shift requirements and adhere to ethical standards and protection of sensitive consumer information. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Experience Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control roles. At least 3 years in a collections call center environment, with a strong emphasis on compliance, performance optimization, and customer resolution. Minimum 5 years in a leadership role. Education Education requirements not specified. Additional Requirements Overtime required - as needed. Travel: 0-10% as needed. Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to either Atlanta GA or Dallas TX. Physical Demands Requires sitting, using hands, reaching, talking or hearing, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Requires close vision. Work Environment Moderate noise level. Work environment characteristics are representative of those encountered while performing essential functions. Work Schedule Various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically 8 AM-6 PM, Monday through Friday, with weekend work as needed. Travel required 10% of the time. An applicant must be authorized to work in the United States.
