Project Industrial Water Wastewater Process Engineer

Role description: Function as the process engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects Apply processes and technologies for physical/chemical primary treatment, biological treatment, membrane treatment, adsorption, filtration, disinfection, thermal evaporation and crystallization Receive technical mentoring and guidance from a senior process engineer Delegate engineering or scientific calculations/ drawings to junior staff Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design teams to implement complex treatment solutions, and Support implementation of projects from study phase through design, construction, startup and commissioning, and operation and maintenance of treatment systems This is a hybrid position supporting client facilities and projects across the United States, with occasional international assignments. Candidates residing in SoCal market preferred. Role accountabilities: Assist in developing and preparing process design drawings, specifications, calculations, plans, and other technical deliverables for a variety of industrial water projects, Field work will be required, including but not limited to, surveys/data gathering, construction quality assurance, inspections, bench- and pilot-scale treatability testing at client sites or in our lab, etc. Assist with system commissioning and start-up, including training plant staff Prepare and make presentations to clients and for professional meetings Manage projects as necessary to meet both client and Arcadis’ expectations Supporting business development including proposal preparation and meetings with clients Travel as needed for meetings, site visits, etc. (up to 25%)) Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering 7+ years of progressively increasing responsibility in the industrial water/wastewater field Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in engineering or a related field of study with focus on wastewater treatment process engineering Professional engineer registration in one or more states Why Arcadis? The salary range for this position is $105,494 - $158,242.
