IT Asset & License Management Consultant (Infrastructure Focus)

Location: Remote preferred, ideally based in or near New York City for occasional onsite meetings Duration: 3–6 month contract with possible extension Interview Process: Two video interviews Overview We are seeking a consultant with strong communication skills and a foundational infrastructure background to assist with software license and subscription management across cloud and on-prem environments. The consultant will help create visibility into current software assets, usage, consumption, and costs while identifying optimization and rationalization opportunities. This is a hands-on consulting engagement ideal for someone with experience in IT asset management, software licensing, infrastructure operations, or SaaS administration. Responsibilities Assess and organize existing software/license inventory data from a rudimentary database Create and maintain a centralized inventory of software licenses, subscriptions, and cloud services Track utilization, consumption, ownership, renewal dates, and spending trends Identify optimization and rationalization opportunities across platforms and tools, e.g., overlap between collaboration tools such as Slack and Microsoft Teams Review cloud and non-cloud licensing environments for redundancy and under utilization Provide recommendations for governance, reporting, and ongoing management processes Recommend a long-term solution/tool set for license and subscription management Work with infrastructure, operations, procurement, and business stakeholders as needed Present findings and recommendations clearly to leadership and technical teams Required Qualifications Experience with IT asset management, software licensing, SaaS management, or infrastructure operations General understanding of cloud platforms and enterprise infrastructure environments Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience with inventory tracking, reporting, or optimization initiatives Preferred Qualifications Experience with tools such as ServiceNow SAM, Flexera, Zylo, Snow, or similar platforms Background supporting enterprise infrastructure or cloud operations Experience with Microsoft licensing and SaaS optimization initiatives Consulting experience preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr Indigo Beam
