Number of Beds - 24
Number of Staff 40
Type of staff:
o Day Shift 1 charge, 5-6 RN (dependent on census), 1 UC
o Night Shift - 1 charge, 5-6 RN (dependent on census), 1 UC
Patient Ratios 2:1, 1:1 if higher acuity and 3:1 for lower, step-down acuity
Type of equipment vents, drips, chest tubes, central lines, syringe pumps, trachs, GT
EMR -Meditech
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: In the PICU at MCH, we admit all ICU level of care patients to include every body system. Respiratory, neuro, GI, GU, plastics, burns, DKA, medically sick patients with a cardiac history, ortho, ENT, etc
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Intubated/vents experience
ICU level of care experience patients
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.
ECMO experience (taking care of pt, not the pump)
CRRT experience

Central line, chest tube placement
Sedation, LP, intubation

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
PALS
BLS
Registered Nurse License
Floating Area(s):
All children s unit and NICU (PIMC, PSRG, Pedi Hemonc, ER for inpt holds, PCICU)
