Real Estate Leasing Agent Instructor

Essential Function: The Adjunct Instructor will teach the Illinois 15-Hour Residential Leasing Agent Pre-License course in accordance with Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) requirements and Triton College Continuing Education standards. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: * Active Illinois Managing Broker License in good standing. * Minimum 2 years of experience as a Managing Broker or supervising broker. * Knowledge of Illinois leasing practices and Fair Housing regulations. * Ability to teach adult learners in a classroom or hybrid format. Preferred Qualifications: * Prior teaching or training experience (Continuing Education or pre-licensing preferred). * Experience in residential leasing, property management, or brokerage operations. * Familiarity with IDFPR education requirements and licensing exam preparation. * Experience using instructional technology or online learning platforms. Responsibilities Responsibilities include: 1. Deliver engaging, student-centered instruction aligned with Illinois Leasing Agent licensing objectives. 2. Maintain current Illinois Real Estate license and stay up to date with leasing laws, fair housing regulations, and industry practices. 3. Teach course content covering leasing fundamentals, fair housing, agency relationships, contracts, property management basics, and Illinois real estate law. 4. Develop and distribute a course syllabus aligned with approved curriculum and state requirements. 5. Submit attendance, grade reports, and required documentation by established deadlines. 6. Guide students regarding the licensing process, exam preparation, and entry into the real estate field. 7. Utilize instructional technology and active learning strategies to support student success. 8. Maintain professional communication with students, program staff, and Continuing Education leadership. 9. Participate in curriculum updates and course assessment as needed. 10. Conduct classes as scheduled and comply with Triton College policies and procedures.
