Job Summary

We are seeking a Product Engineer for a direct hire opportunity in Union City, CA within a computer hardware manufacturing environment. This role supports production readiness, product quality, engineering changes, process documentation, test improvement, and Proof of Concept product builds for pilot and mass production.

The Product Engineer will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Test, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Engineering teams to improve production performance and ensure smooth execution on the production floor. This is a strong opportunity for a detail-oriented technical professional who enjoys hands-on manufacturing support, cross-functional teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures, work instructions, production instructions, and Quality Control checklists for pilot and mass production.
- Analyze production test logs, test results, and manufacturing procedures to identify opportunities to improve quality, yield, efficiency, and cost.
- Manage and support engineering changes, including ECNs and ECOs, while coordinating documentation, training, production schedules, and labor standards.
- Build, modify, and maintain test automation tools, scripts, fixtures, and related production test support systems.
- Support troubleshooting of hardware, software, operating system, and production test issues in a computer hardware manufacturing environment.
- Build and document Proof of Concept products, validate manufacturability and test coverage, and support production readiness for new configurations.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $90,000 to $120,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.
