Jaja is a celebration of Western Mediterranean ("Med-West") cuisine, brought to life through the leadership of Executive Chef Logan Abbe. A Cleveland native and Cleveland Magazine's 2022 Best Local Chef, Abbe draws on his experience at The Last Page, Sawyer's, and The Greenhouse Tavern to reintroduce jaja with a menu rooted in inventive, shareable dishes. Set within its jewel-box rooftop dining room, jaja offers an energetic, transportive, and welcoming experience paired with a reimagined beverage program — marking an exciting new chapter for one of Cleveland’s most distinctive restaurants. The Prep Cook supports kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, setting up workstations, and ensuring all items are ready for cooking. Essential Functions Champion Lateral Service Learn Own the individual guest experience Set the next shift up for success Delver perfect recipes Own the cleanliness and organization of prep area and walk in Communicate product needs Education / Experience / Certifications: Must be 19+ years of age. 1-3 years’ experience in a food service role. Knowledge of various food-service styles a plus. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Maintains composure under pressure, remains calm and courteous in difficult situations. Required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays as business demands; ability to work flexible hours as required. Work Environment: Work is performed in a restaurant/event environment. This role requires primarily standing and walking during entire shift. Work environment is fast-paced and team member must be able to manage multiple priorities throughout a shift.
