A&P Mechanic: Airframe & Powerplant Specialist

General Purpose of Job: The A&P Mechanic’s responsibilities are primarily focused on airframe and power plant repair, airline on-call maintenance, and other maintenance opportunities as needed.Duties:Must demonstrate the maturity, judgment and analytical ability to perform all aspects of maintenancePerform routine 100 hour and annual inspections and A&P checksTroubleshooting and performing needed repairs to airframe components, engines, and a variety of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repairs to aircraft accessoriesPerforming structural repairs to airframePerform oil changes and service hydraulic systemsMake required log book entries of repairs and comply with all company and FAA requirementsInstall optional or added equipment to aircraftAdded knowledge in automotive and ground equipment maintenance a plusMay be required to work nights, on call hours, weekends and/or holidaysAbility to lift 45 pounds or moreAbility to comply with attendance/tardiness standardsPerform other duties as necessaryQualifications:High School diploma or GED equivalentMust have active A&P license, experience and education necessary to perform dutiesMust be 18 years or olderPrevious aviation experience is preferred.At least two years general aviation knowledgeAbility to handle, prioritize and multi task in a time sensitive environmentMust pass background check, pre-employment drug test, have valid Driver's license with a good driving record within company standardsMust have authorization to work in the U.S.Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environmentWork Environment:Airport environment: Indoors and Outdoors.
