  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs and concerns of children and adolescents, ensuring a holistic approach to their mental health.

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that consider each patient's unique developmental stages and family dynamics.

  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, tailored to each patient's specific mental health needs.

  • Provide crisis intervention support in mental health emergencies, rapidly assessing risk and developing safety plans with patients and families.

  • Educate clients and their families about diagnoses, treatment modalities, and community resources, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.

  • Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation aligned with state and federal regulations pertaining to mental health practice.

  • Actively participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case consultations, and professional development sessions to enhance collaborative care.

  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health to incorporate best practices into therapy sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on children and adolescents facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Your work will not only involve direct therapy with young patients but also robust family engagement to create supportive atmospheres for growth and healing.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • \n
  • Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
  • \n
  • Solid knowledge and experience in child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based approaches to treatment.
  • \n
  • Previous experience providing individual and family therapy within a clinical setting, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
  • \n
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate, child-centered approach to therapy.

  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and management.
  • \n
  • Ability to successfully collaborate within a multidisciplinary team environment, supporting shared goals for patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

  • At least two years of post-graduate experience providing mental health counseling services to children and adolescents.

  • Experience working within community health clinics or similar environments providing care to diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary range for this position is competitive, with earnings between USD 80,000 and 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
