As a Front Desk Officer at a government location, you will welcome visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor alarm panels, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AMThur06:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSat06:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government office front desk by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor access to the location by verifying visitor credentials, following sign-in procedures, issuing visitor passes, and directing guests to appropriate offices or services. Answer phones, provide general information, and maintain professional communication with staff, visitors, and public-service partners. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document and report security-related concerns according to site procedures. Maintain accurate visitor logs, incident reports, and other required front-desk records while helping to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas. Minimum Requirements: A guard card or license is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Alarm panel experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
