Registered Nurse - Telemetry

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role includes providing direct patient care within the scope of practice, guiding patient and family teaching, and overseeing the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the care given to assigned patients and communicates effectively with physicians regarding changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring and diagnostic study results. Quick and accurate responses to changes in condition and treatment are essential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process.
• Perform assessments, plan and implement nursing care.
• Guide patient and family education and nursing personnel activities.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in clinical conditions.
• Respond accurately to changes and treatment responses.
• Float between Med/Surg and Telemetry units as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certification.
• Current ACLS (AHA or Red Cross) certification.
• Minimum of 1 year previous Acute Care hospital experience.
• Meditech EMR experience preferred.
• Ability to float to Med/Surg/Telemetry as needed.

Schedule

This is a Per Diem position, with shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
