We're hiring a Lead Frontend Engineer to own the technical direction of our user-facing surfaces and the team that builds them. Reporting to our Solutions Architect, you'll lead our 5-engineer frontend team across our web app, browser and email extensions, and a new mobile app.

What You'll Do

• Set frontend technical direction. Own architectural standards, patterns, and the code review bar across the web app, Chrome extension, Outlook add-in, and React Native mobile app. The health of the frontend codebase is your direct responsibility.
• Manage the team. Run 1:1s, set goals, give feedback, hire, mentor. You own the team's performance and growth.
• Own the release process across surfaces. Web app, extensions, and mobile ship on different cadences — including off-cycle deployments and Chrome Web Store/Outlook/App Store review submissions.
• Ship the hardest features end-to-end. Stay hands-on. Lead implementation of the most complex, cross-cutting work, partnering with product and design. Push on polish, interaction, and perf — our users are investment professionals and they notice.
• Partner across the stack. Coordinate laterally with the Backend, Infra, QA, and AI tech leads. Work closely with our Head of Product and design partners; bring frontend feasibility into design conversations early. You won't write backend code, but you'll read API contracts fluently and debug end-to-end.

Who You Are

• Senior frontend engineer. 7+ years building production web applications.
• Multi-surface experience. You've shipped across at least two: web apps, browser extensions, email/productivity add-ins, or mobile (React Native preferred).
• You've managed engineers. Direct people management, including owning 1:1s, performance, hiring, and growth. Formal people management is required, not just informal tech lead experience.
• Design partnership. You implement designs faithfully but aren't a pixel-pusher. You push back when an interaction is wrong, and you've shipped polished work you're proud of.
• Comfortable across the stack. You read API contracts fluently and debug end-to-end without needing handholding.

Bonus Experience

• Experience building or scaling React Native apps from early stages
• Background in fintech, private equity, or financial services technology
• Improving frontend performance, build times, or developer experience at scale

Salary

$150,000 - $170,000 per year
