Lathe CNC Machinist - 2nd shift

JSG is hiring a CNC Machinist - 1st or 2nd shift in Simi Valley, CA. Pay rate: $30-$36 - $2 shift differential Position Summary The candidate will be required to set-up, operate, and adjust CNC machines, lathes and/or mills. Work from drawings and written instructions to create parts. May need to make offsets to programs on CNC machines. Job Responsibilities 5+ years experience operating CNC lathes and/or mills Responsible for all phases of part operations, maintains part conformance per sketch and drawing requirements. Perform and maintain accurate in-process quality inspection and records. Identify and recommend process improvements that reduce part quality variation. Input data into visual management forms and convey results to management. Continuously improve processes, procedures, and eliminate waste. Skilled in the use of indicator, gauge, dial bores, and plate inspection methods for first article and in-process inspection of precision machined parts. Ability to maintain close tolerances (within .0003”), hold .0003 profile, roundness. Ideal candidate will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.
