We are a team that values collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement, and we're looking for individuals who want to make a meaningful impact.Position SummaryFoodScience is seeking a Production Technician to support our manufacturing operations by executing key processing functions including weighing, batching, blending, and extrusion of animal supplements.This role plays a critical part in ensuring product quality, accuracy, and consistency by following detailed batch records and maintaining strict adherence to GMP and food safety standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing high-quality products with precision.What You'll DoExecute weighing, batching, blending, extrusion, and forming processes in accordance with master batch recordsAccurately verify raw materials, lot numbers, and weights, ensuring proper documentation and traceabilityUtilize FIFO methodology to pull materials and maintain inventory accuracyOperate and demonstrate proficiency with production equipment and scales (floor, tabletop, precision)Complete all required production documentation, batch records, and logbook entries accurately and on timePerform equipment startup and shutdown procedures and support efficient room setup and sanitationPartner with Material Handlers to ensure materials are staged and ready for productionMonitor processes, identify issues, and escalate concerns to supervisors or QA as neededCollaborate cross-functionally with QA/QC and production leadership to resolve discrepanciesMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in alignment with GMP and company standardsWhat You BringHigh attention to detail and strong accuracy in a production environmentAbility to read, interpret, and execute batch records and written instructionsStrong teamwork and communication skillsBasic math skills, including the ability to perform unit conversions (e.g., grams to kilograms)Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environmentPhysical & Work EnvironmentAbility to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularlyProlonged standing with frequent walking and hands-on workFast-paced manufacturing environment with moderate noise levelsExposure to common allergens (milk, eggs, fish, peanuts, wheat, shellfish, soy, tree nuts, gluten)QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredManufacturing or production experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to read, write, and communicate effectivelyWhy Join FoodScience?FoodScience offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including:9 paid holidays per year—including your birthday!One paid week off during our annual plant shutdownPTO that begins accruing immediatelyHealth benefits, including HSA optionsA collaborative, team-first culture grounded in our FundamentalsEqual Opportunity EmployerFoodScience provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
