Details Work in a 10-bed Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU within a larger PICU environment Staffing model of 6 RNs partnering with the PICU team for coverage 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio for critical care (estimated, not guaranteed) Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Uses Phillips monitors, Med fusion and Baxter pumps, and specialized equipment such as centrimag, prismax, and arctic sun Meditech EMR system used Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule Requirements Active CO or compact RN license required Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience required Peritoneal dialysis and CRRT skills preferred ECMO bedside experience preferred Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide post-operative care including inotropic and vasopressor infusions, IVF and chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients Perform moderate sedation procedures Serve the congenital cardiac and complex neonatal patient population as part of the hospital's ECMO center Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including board-certified pediatric/congenital heart intensivists Join a team averaging 10 years of nursing experience with a strong culture of safety and high engagement Ideal candidates are flexible, organized, strong communicators who enjoy teaching and resourcing others American Traveler Job ID P-749977.
