Job Description The position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. The Impact You’ll Make in this Role Improvement of key performance measures for assigned processes, to include operating efficiency (OEE/CEE), rates, yields and equipment runtime and downtime Actively utilize Lean Manufacturing and Tier Process to identify/resolve top issues Responsible for continuous improvement of assigned products/processes through development and implementation of programs to increase product and process understanding and reduce process variability Efficiently troubleshoot product and process performance issues, performing root cause analysis and applying systemic problem‑solving skills and robust solutions Your Skills And Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) One (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Experience working with cross‑functional teams Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Analysis Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans Ability to work both independently and in cross‑functional teams from multiple locations and divisions Work Location Brownwood, TX Travel: May include up to 5% domestic/international Relocation Assistance: May be authorized Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status). 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially.
