Responsibilities Assess the patients condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patients medical record. Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication. Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them. Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patients medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology. Unit: 20 bed Neuro Trauma (private rooms) offering a great combination of specialized neuro/trauma experience, 1:5 ratios with PCT, strong professional growth, and a supportive team. Flexible PRN schedule with minimum commitment ranging from 3 shifts a month to 3 shifts a week. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. BLS required upon hire. Minimum 1 (one) year Neuro Trauma experience.
