Electrician

A high-volume union food manufacturing facility is hiring Electricians to support electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, repair, and equipment reliability across plant production systems. This role helps keep operations running during peak production months and supports preventive maintenance, electrical repairs, upgrades, and downtime response during the off-pack season.

The best-fit candidate is a dependable industrial or manufacturing electrician who is comfortable with shift work, production equipment, electrical troubleshooting, and long-term stability in a union facility.

Location : Clyman, WI

Schedule :

Off-pack season, December-May, standard shift is 4:30 PM-1:30 AM.

Fresh vegetable processing season, June-November, typically two 10-12 hour shifts per day: 4:30 AM-4:00 PM and 4:00 PM-4:30 AM.

During pack season, work will include 2nd and/or 3rd shift coverage and may vary based on production needs.

Compensation: $35.75-$43.05/hr, with final rate based on credentials, experience, union classification, and shift differential eligibility

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, rebuild, and repair electrical equipment throughout the plant.
• Troubleshoot electrical wiring, motors, controllers, PLCs, lighting systems, and production equipment.
• Analyze electrical breakdowns and respond to downtime events.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Plan and complete electrical work safely, efficiently, and in accordance with specifications.
• Interpret layout, construction, and electrical diagrams.
• Stay current with electrical codes, OSHA regulations, GMP requirements, and plant safety policies.
• Work closely with maintenance, production, and supervision teams.
• Maintain housekeeping and basic documentation standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Electrical experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Certified electrician, apprenticeship background, or ability to meet entry-level testing requirements.
• Strong electrical aptitude.
• Electrical construction and maintenance experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment.
• Ability to interpret layout, construction, and electrical diagrams.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Dependability, strong attendance, and willingness to work shift schedules in a union environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Electrician credentials.
• Vocational or technical electrical training.
• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with motors, controllers, 480V systems, lighting controls, production equipment, and plant electrical systems.
• Food, beverage, packaging, process manufacturing, or industrial maintenance experience.
• Controls, plumbing, welding, fabrication, or mechanical crossover skills.
