Overview PreK (4+) Teacher – St. Patrick's School – Rockville, Maryland. This is a full-time, on-site position for the 2026-27 school year. Salary range is $50,000 - $55,000 per year with benefits. Locations St. Patrick's Church, 4101 Norbeck Road, Rockville, MD 20853, USA Responsibilities The Catholic elementary school teacher delivers instruction based on the approved curricula and mission of the school and creates a safe, orderly Catholic learning environment. Plan and implement lessons aligned with Archdiocese of Washington Academic and Religious Standards. Use standardized test scores and other assessments to adjust lesson plans and inform instruction. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs and plan learner-based lessons. Deliver a balanced program of instruction including direct instruction, guided instruction, independent/group practice, questioning, demonstrations, and discovery. Prepare and administer assessments (formal and informal) and use results to measure goal attainment. Assign classwork and homework that reinforce the lesson objectives. Establish classroom procedures that maximize instructional time and maintain a positive, respectful learning environment. Communicate regularly with parents and administration about student progress, assignments, and expectations. Maintain grade books and post timely updates on student progress, grades, and due dates. Hold parent conferences when academic or behavioral interventions are needed; provide quarterly progress reports and report cards. Foster Catholic beliefs, traditions, and practices; plan and participate in liturgical ceremonies as required; lead prayer in the classroom; teach religion classes (if applicable) aligned with Archdiocese standards. Perform non-instructional duties as needed (carpool, recess, lunch, substitution) and sponsor school activities as required. Qualifications Current teacher certification in Maryland, Virginia, or Washington, DC (candidates have 3 years from hire to earn certification). Knowledge of child development and supervision. Experience teaching in an elementary school setting (preferred). Additional Information Must obtain Maryland, Virginia, or DC certification within three years of hire; must obtain required religious certification as required. Equal Opportunity Employer.
