• Collegiate Level Coaching Experience.

Primary Responsibilities

Summary
Provide leadership, organization, and supervision for all aspects of both men's and women's athletic programs at Sul Ross State University to insure a competitive and successful program, following all NCAA Division II, Lone Star Conference and university rules and regulations. Coordinate all strength and conditioning workouts to increase competitive edge of all SRSU athletic programs.


Essential Job Functions

1. Provide strength and conditioning workouts for all student athletes.
2. Schedule practices for both in season and out of season programs.
3. Monitor all workouts.
4. Be knowledgeable of, and abide by, all university, NCAA Division II, and conference policies.
5. Prepare and manage strength and conditioning budget.
6. Order and maintain all equipment necessary.
7. Stay current with strength and conditioning developments in the profession.

This position typically works in an office environment, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk while using a computer. The role demands frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Visual acuity is essential for reading and interpreting data on computer screens. Clear verbal communication skills are necessary for interacting with colleagues and employees. Additionally, the job may involve occasional mobility to attend practice and meetings. Physical activity required for practice demonstration and sideline duties.
