Insurance Account Representative

Job Description

Role Description:

As an Insurance Account Representative for Curt Beckham State Farm, you are vital to our daily business operations and customers’ success. You help grow our agency through meaningful customer relations and acting as a liaison between customer needs and agency departments. You improve the lives of customers by proactively marketing relevant products and services.

Responsibilities include:

-Obtain qualified leads, schedule appointments, identify customer needs, give and close sales presentations as you market appropriate products and services.

-Provide prompt, accurate and friendly customer service. Services include, but are not limited to, responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, coverage, eligibility, policy changes, claims, billing and transfers.

-Maintain a strong work ethic with a commitment to success and customer satisfaction every day.

-Use a customer-focused, needs based review process to educate customers about insurance options.

Experience and Knowledge Requirements:

College degree preferred, High School diploma required
Requires customer service experience, sales experience preferred (outside, inside, retail or telemarketing)
Familiarity with or ability to learn computer functions in a variety of computer applications

Personal Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Interest in marketing products and services based upon customer needs
Dedicated to providing high quality customer service with a consistently positively attitude
Self motivated, detail orientated, proactive in problem solving, and display multi-tasking and time management skills
Must have (or be able to obtain) Life & Health license and Property and Casualty License.
Able to set and meet goals
Must have enthusiasm about the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage the risks of every day life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams.

Terms of Employment

Hourly pay plus commission and various bonuses
Paid time off (holidays, vacation, and personal/sick days)
