Locums Emergency Medicine Physician

We are seeking a Locums Emergency Medicine Physician for an ongoing (min. 6 months) coverage opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee. This is an on-site emergency medicine position with a manageable patient volume and a 12-bed Emergency Department.

Position Highlights

Duration: Ongoing- At least 6 months 

Schedule: 6:00 AM–6:00 PM or 6:00 PM–6:00 AM

No call

12-bed Emergency Department

Census: Fewer than 30 patients per day

Admissions: Fewer than 10 per day

On-site coverage

Full scope of Emergency Medicine procedures

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency department patients.

Manage acute and emergent medical conditions.

Perform emergency procedures, including:

Procedural sedation

Endotracheal intubation

Central line placement

Other standard ED procedures within scope of practice

Stabilize and disposition patients appropriately.

Coordinate consultations, admissions, transfers, and follow-up care.

Provide timely and accurate medical documentation.

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine

Must have successfully completed an Emergency Medicine residency

ABEM certification or eligibility required

Current Tennessee medical license
