Job Title: Calibration Technician

Location: Skaneateles, NY 13153
Duration: 12-Month Contract
Pay Rate: $28/hour on W2
Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Flexible)
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite

Job Description:

We are seeking a Calibration Technician to support R&D laboratory operations by coordinating calibration, maintenance, and repair activities for laboratory and test equipment. The ideal candidate will maintain equipment records, coordinate with external service providers, support purchasing activities, and ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate equipment calibration, maintenance, and repair with vendors and internal teams.
• Maintain equipment inventories, calibration certificates, and service records.
• Review calibration documentation and support out-of-tolerance (OOT) investigations.
• Track calibration and repair expenses.
• Create purchase requisitions and orders using SAP, SRM, or similar systems.
• Purchase laboratory supplies and consumables.
• Conduct laboratory walkthroughs to identify safety, housekeeping, and compliance issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform basic equipment inspections or calibration tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, testing, laboratory operations, or technical support preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with SAP, equipment management databases, and vendor coordination.
• Experience using gauges, calipers, multimeters, or other measurement tools.
• Experience in laboratory, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
