Job Description Job Description Head of Product Design Position Summary Bellmont Cabinet Co. is seeking a design-led product leader to define and elevate the future of our product offering. This is not a traditional Product Manager role. Rather than focusing on timelines, coordination, or catalog administration, this role is centered on taste, vision, and product direction. The Head of Product Design will own the creative and strategic direction of our product portfolio, translating market trends into manufacturable, premium cabinetry solutions that strengthen Bellmont’s brand position. Key Responsibilities Product Vision & Direction · Define and evolve Bellmont’s product vision across all core series (1300, 1600, 1900, VERO). · Establish a clear and compelling design point of view and elevate Bellmont’s position in the premium market. Design Translation & Innovation · Identifyemerging design trends and translate them into manufacturable products including doors, finishes, materials, interiors, and accessories. · Ensure concepts balancestrong designwith operational feasibility. Product Simplification & Portfolio Strategy · Rationalize and simplify the product offering to reduce redundancy and improve clarity. · Strengthen product architecture to enhance usability for both dealers and internal teams. Cross-Functional Collaboration · Partner with Engineering, Operations, IT, Marketing, and Sales to bring product concepts to life. · Ensure alignment between design intent and execution. Brand & Marketing Leadership · Help define Bellmont’s evolving design language and premium positioning. Influence long-term product strategy and innovation roadmap. Qualifications & Experience · Background in product design, interior design, architectural products, or related fields. · Experience in high-end residential design, cabinetry, or adjacent categories preferred. · Proven ability to translate design trends into real, sellableproduct. · Strong understanding of materials, finishes, and product development processes. · Experience working in cross-functional environments. Critical Capabilities · Exceptional designeye and taste (mostimportant factor). · Ability to translate trends into practical, manufacturableproduct. · Comfortoperatingat both conceptual and execution levels. · Strong point of view and ability to work in ambiguity. · Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams. What We are Not Looking For · Traditional product managers focused on execution and coordination. · Highly operational or spreadsheet-driven profiles. · Candidates withoutstrongdesign perspective or portfolio. · High-volume designers withoutdemonstratedvision or design leadership. Candidate Evaluation Candidates will be evaluated based on portfolio quality, ability to articulate design decisions, strength of design point of view, and evidence of translating design into real-world product.
