Registered Nurse – Telemetry Overflow (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Monitor and manage generalized cardiac patients ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Care for patients presenting with common diagnoses including chest pain, A-fib, CHF, and pre- and post-cardiac catheterization (groin and radial approaches) and VATS
• Operate telemetry and monitoring equipment including Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo devices
• Document patient care accurately using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a telemetry or cardiac setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Proficiency with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo monitoring equipment
• Associate degree in Nursing or higher
• Must meet travel distance requirements (60 miles or greater from facility)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
• Background in cardiac specialty nursing including cardiac catheterization patient care
