Position Overview Specialist – Sport & Outdoor role in DICK’S Sporting Goods stores. Responsible for engaging athletes, driving sales, supporting service execution, and maintaining store standards. Job Duties & Responsibilities Delivering an outstanding athlete experience by proactively engaging athletes to understand their shopping needs and creating a world‑class experience, providing clear, accurate and knowledgeable information about products and assortment. Assisting with onboarding and training of new and existing team members as a subject‑matter expert, focusing on best practices, sales skills and key operational processes. Demonstrating efficiency and effectiveness in process execution while maintaining an athlete‑first mindset, ensuring products are ready for purchase and athletes are engaged. Upholding merchandising and presentation standards by following floor plans, signage, pricing, inventory presentation, and replenishment standards. Promoting and driving customer participation in company programs such as customer loyalty, warranty sales and private‑label credit card enrollment. Creating a store environment where teammates and athletes are welcome and treated with respect, while adhering to safety, loss‑prevention and other policies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1–3 years of experience. Previous retail or customer‑facing experience preferred. Targeted pay range: $15.50 – $23.50 per hour. Starting rate may vary by location, experience and position offered. Salary will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage.
