Position Summary We are seeking a Residential Childcare Worker to provide direct care and supervision to at‑risk adolescent boys in a 5‑bed residential facility. The role requires work on weekends, including 12‑hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Additional evening or night shifts throughout the week may be available. Hours and Availability

• 12‑hour weekend shifts (Friday 3 pm–10 pm, Saturday & Sunday 9 am–9 pm or 9 pm–9 am).
• Must commit to working two weekends per month (weeks 1, 3, 5 or 2, 4).
• Additional shifts may be scheduled in the evenings and nights during the week.

Hourly Rate B$20 (based upon education and experience). Responsibilities Provide a nurturing environment and close supervision for residents, ensuring basic needs (meals, exercise, hygiene, sleep) are met. Teach healthy living skills, conduct recreational and social activities, and facilitate skill acquisition. Monitor residents’ activities and whereabouts, maintaining a physically safe environment. Administer medication accurately, ensuring timely documentation. Transport residents to medical, dental, counseling or other appointments when needed. Use behavior management techniques, including clear communication of consequences and maintaining the Level/Point System. Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships that are warm, nurturing, and empathetic. Participate actively in team meetings, communication logs, and shift‑change meetings. Complete all required documentation: progress notes, incident reports, parent/resource contact logs, monthly safety and fire drill reports, work order requests. Collaborate with the Program Coordinator and staff to address resident needs and program concerns. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator. Qualifications and Requirements Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; OR at least two years of collegiate education with work experience in mental health or social services; OR high school diploma with six years of relevant experience. Prior experience working with adolescents in a residential or mental health setting is preferred. Must be at least 25 years old. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a broad variety of people. Team‑oriented, professional boundaries, confidentiality, and reliability in shift attendance. Ability to remain calm and emotionally available when working with emotionally disturbed youth. Open to feedback and supervision; able to de‑escalate volatile situations. Current First Aid/CPR certification. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle insurance (agency policy). Pass a criminal background check. Letter from a physician indicating fitness to work with children. Other Requirements Complete Orientation and Medication Management Training within 30 days of employment. Complete Behavior Management Training within 30 days of employment. Work under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator.
