Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans following physician orders and departmental protocols to ensure diagnostic-quality images.
• Properly position patients, calibrate imaging parameters, and apply appropriate scanning protocols; monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the study.
• Administer intravenous contrast per orders when indicated; monitor for adverse reactions and respond per protocol.
• Maintain radiation safety standards (ALARA), infection control, and patient privacy; verify patient identity and imaging orders; ensure accurate image labeling and documentation.
• Collaborate with radiologists and radiology team to review images, minimize artifacts, and perform post-processing as needed in the PACS.
• Ensure equipment is maintained in good working order; report malfunctions and assist with patient throughput in a high-volume CT environment.

Requirements

• ARRT CT certification (active) required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of recent CT experience in a high-volume setting
• Strong knowledge of CT protocols, patient positioning, and contrast administration
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered CT environment; excellent communication and teamwork
• Travel assignment eligibility; willingness to relocate as needed
